Description:

A discussion of the design history and speculative future design directions
of Fluid’s User Interface Options / preferences framework
<https://build.fluidproject.org/infusion/demos/prefsFramework/> tools. The
IDRC is a partner with CAST <http://www.cast.org/> on the CISL
<http://www.cast.org/our-work/research-development/projects/center-on-inclusive-software-for-learning.html>
 project, which is making use of the preference framework. Kim Ducharme
from CAST has put the following questions forward for the community to
discuss:

   - What drove decisions for the current preferences toolbar design,
      choice of features, order of features, etc.?
      - In a perfect world, what would you have built (…or would like to!)?
      - What do you still want to know? We can ask our middle-schoolers!
