GSoC 2016 brainstorming

At today’s community meeting we went over potential project ideas for GSoC 2016. We will be able to apply for the GSoC in a few weeks. It would be good to have the project ideas take shape by then and be ready for when students begin searching out mentor organizations.

I’ve captured today’s brainstorming ideas on the wiki ( https://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/GSoC+2016+Project+Ideas+-+Brainstorming ). Please feel free to continue to add more ideas. As you come across an idea that you wish to mentor, please shepherd it along and transition it from the brainstorming page to a fleshed out project summary on the Google Summer of Code 2016 with the Fluid Project page. We’ll aim to have one primary mentor for code and, depending on the project, a designer as well. However, as we always work, we expect the entire community to participate in mentoring these projects.
