Hi everyone,

In the process of doing research for Preferences for Global Access, I came
across this tool that measures the readability of a website:
http://juicystudio.com/services/readability.php

The results count the number of complex words by syllable, and also gives
rankings on established scales like the Gunning-Fog Index. Keep in mind
that scales and formulas can be flawed, so don't worry if your latest grant
proposal has a Flesch-Kincaid Grade level of 1 (although I think Clayton
Lewis would argue that this may actually a good thing :).

Out of curiosity, I checked the readability of
http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/fluid/Floe and here are the results

Summary Value
Total sentences 187
Total words 793
Average words per Sentence 4.24
Words with 1 Syllable 441
Words with 2 Syllables 211
Words with 3 Syllables 96
Words with 4 or more Syllables 45
Percentage of word with three or more syllables 17.78%
Average Syllables per Word 1.68
Gunning Fog Index 8.81
Flesch Reading Ease 60.54
Flesch-Kincaid Grade 5.87

Gunning-Fog Index measures the rough number of years of schooling needed
for a reader to understand the content.
Flesch-Kincaid is the estimated grade level.
