HTML 5 image editor

Hi Colin,
I dropped a mail regarding HTML5 image edtior GSoC idea. But still I did
not get a reply. I have two questions regarding this. Do I need to
integrate this to a framework or can I develop this as a separate
component?. How I can contact a mentor for this?.
