Scott Davis:The Future of Java: It's the Platform, Stupid!

2010 was quite the year for Java, full of controversies and accomplishments.
But talking about Java in the singular can be misleading. Java is not one
thing, but three: a language, a set of APIs, and a platform. When refracted
through this prism, recent developments in Java are easier to distinguish
and project into the future.

In this keynote, author Scott Davis ("Getting Started with Grails", "Groovy
Recipes") talks about Java 7 language enhancements, new APIs included in JEE
6, and why the future of Java isn't really about either. It's the platform,
Stupid!
