FLUID-3751 patch

Thanks Golam! Can you attach this patch to the FLUID-3751 ticket so it doesn't get lost? Once the demo freeze is lifted at the end of this week, we can commit it to the incubator and run some final tests. Things seem to be looking good for Progress, so I think we're probably close to being able to merge this back into trunk.

Any complaints from the list about the idea of replacing our existing Progress demo with this new one that Golam, Jonathan, and Heidi have been working on?
