Renderer & disabling XML escaping

I have some JSON data coming back that contains markup. I have the Fluid 
Renderer generating output just fine but it appears to be XML escaping 
everything so instead of a bold section of text showing I see "<b>search 
term</b>". How can I tell the renderer to not do XML escaping on my input?
