Demo cleanup, and removals

Thanks for this Jacob. I will update the links on the nightly build  
page accordingly. Unfortunately it seems I'll need to make some  
changes to the build in ensure that the demos get included in the war  
file - they currently aren't. This means that the links on the build  
site may be broken for a little while. I'll let you know when I've got  
it all fixed.
