Agreed - it seems unlikely, and I can't even decide if it would be a
good feature or a bad one if true.  Right now I'm operating on
information from a couple of non-technical users who happen to own Macs.
 Once they've gotten me copies of the files they're having trouble with
I'll be able to do some of my own testing and share some more details.
