Hello Herb,
Thank you very much for your offer to help with the Design
Handbook. Jonathan and I have been doing a lot of revision work on the
UX Walkthroughs section. Originally the material was aimed at engaging
people in the Fluid project, and encouraging contributions. The intent
is now to have a guide for novices (or experts) to perform their own UX
Walkthroughs, independent of the Fluid project. We also want to promote
the UX Walkthrough as a valuable method developed and refined within the
Fluid project. While we talk about other methods, this is intended as
background, showing that the Fluid UX Walkthrough is rooted in proven
approaches, but has its own special value as a multi-dimensional
assessment technique.
I think that the most helpful thing you could do for us is to review the
whole UX Walkthroughs section from the point of view of a newcomer, and
try to identify any inconsistencies, gaps, or other problems, and
provide us with a critique of the whole section. We're still doing some
final revisions and refinements and a general critique would be of
enormous value to us. Having said that, we hope to soon complete our
work on the section, and give other editors the opportunity to make
contributions.
Thanks and regards,
Paul
