Time for a Confluence upgrade?

We are a bit behind in our upgrades to the wiki. The latest version is
2.9, and we're still on 2.5

The latest version has many useful features, including a drag and drop
tree view which would allow control over the ordering of child pages
(not forcing alphabetical order).

What are peoples thoughts on the prospect of a bit of down-time to
upgrade the wiki? Would this interfere with daily work a great deal,
if there is advance notice?
