John,

Thanks for your feedback. Needless to say we're thoroughly interested  
in the feedback of "mere" users, so thanks for weighing in with your  
thoughts.

It's clear that different contexts require different interactions. I  
like the idea of supporting both approaches and providing developers  
with advice on when to use a particular approach with our design  
patterns.
