Hi everyone,

I've created a new status page for the Fluid 0.1 Release, which is
scheduled to be unleashed on the world on November 21. This status page
outlines the goals, deliverables, and current bugs we're working on for
our first release.

I've also updated the project-wide release plan with links to more
information, adding more detail to future deliverables.

The biggest change I've made to the release plan is to skip over the 0.2
release which was originally planned for December. Instead, I'd like to
focus on refining and integrating our designs for uPortal's layout
manager in time for their uPortal 3 release in December. This also frees
us up to focus on releasing substantial new work in March for the Fluid
0.3 release.

I've been working very closely with the UX team over the last couple of
weeks to do a comprehensive round of design planning. My main priority
at the moment is to ensure that we have a clear path towards significant
redesigns within Sakai and uPortal in the coming months. We're
fast-tracking new component work and will also be digging into
substantial research into how users need to work with files and content
in Sakai and uPortal.

Expect to hear more from me soon about this work soon, and keep an eye
on the wiki for updates to the release plan.

Colin
